Ralph Wilson, 40, a Black man, was killed in Flint, Michigan, on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in a burst of violence that left a quiet north-end street suddenly marked as a crime scene. In the early morning hours, gunfire erupted near the intersection of Marengo Avenue and Dupont Street, and by the time the neighborhood began to stir, Wilson was already dead.

Police later identified Wilson as the victim, confirming that the death stemmed from the shooting on Marengo Avenue. What remained ...
