Despite being able to call 911 himself to report the shooting, he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later at a local hospital.
Lawrence, a resident of Sterling Heights, was a familiar face in the Roseville neighborhood where he often stayed with his grandfather. Many knew him as the man who frequently rode his green mountain bike around the area, a necessity as he reportedly did not trust himself to drive due to a history of struggling with alcohol. He was an employee at Bosco's Pizza. On the night of his death, authorities believe he had arranged to meet an unknown individual in the parking lot where he was ultimately found, about 25 feet from his bicycle.
The investigation into Lawrence Faller's homicide remains active and ongoing, yet years have passed without any arrests or the identification of any suspects. The Roseville Police Department continues to seek new leads and periodically reaches out to people who may have information. His mother has spoken about her son's struggles, revealing that he had been drinking for three days prior to his death and had called her complaining of being unable to sleep. She had advised him to go to the hospital, but it is believed he instead went to meet someone in Roseville.

A cash reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by Crime Stoppers for any information that leads to an arrest in connection with the shooting.
