Markia Leggett, a 29-year-old mother from Southfield, Michigan, was tragically shot and killed on March 22, 2020. The incident occurred at her residence in the Pine Aire Apartments on West 12 Mile Road. According to reports, neighbors called 911 shortly before 10 p.m. after hearing gunfire. When officers arrived, they found Leggett fatally shot inside her apartment. Her two children were present during the incident, with the eldest, a 13-year-old, calling 911 after witnessing the shooting.
