Francisco Javier Gonzalez, aged 39, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2020, in Detroit, Michigan. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Francisco and his family were driving through a southwest Detroit neighborhood. Their vehicle, a Dodge Durango, was ambushed by gunfire from a passing car. Francisco and his wife, Maria Gonzalez-Garcia, were mortally wounded in the attack, while their three children, aged 15, 12, and 9, sustained injuries but survived.
