In a quiet Warren, Michigan neighborhood, a tragic story unfolded on October 1, 2020, culminating in the death of 28-year-old Isis Rimson. The day's grim events began when Detroit police discovered the body of a man, Tukoyo Moore, in a burning car. When Warren police went to Moore's home on Otis Street to deliver the devastating news to his family, they were met with silence.
Upon entering the residence, officers made a horrific discovery in the basement.
There, they found the bodies of Isis Rimson, who was Moore's fiancée, and Moore's 6-year-old son, Tai'raz. Both had been shot execution-style. The investigation into the triple homicide quickly pointed to a motive involving drugs and money.
The investigation led police to a home in West Bloomfield where they arrested Nicholas Raad Bahri. He was subsequently charged with 15 counts, including three counts of first-degree murder, arson, and weapons offenses. Authorities believe Bahri first killed Tukuyo Moore and then went to the home where he murdered Rimson and the young boy. The home had been ransacked, and police found drugs and a significant amount of cash at the scene.
In April 2022, a jury found Nicholas Raad Bahri guilty on all charges after a six-day trial. The deliberations lasted only about three hours. In June of the same year, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murders of Isis Rimson, Tukoyo Moore, and Tai'raz Moore.
