In the early hours of January 14, 2021, Yousef Al-Gabri, a 43-year-old man working as an Uber driver in Detroit, Michigan, met a tragic and violent end. At approximately 2:08 a.m., a call was placed for an Uber to a location on Wisconsin Street. When Al-Gabri arrived, he was ambushed and shot multiple times. The first indication of trouble came when police were dispatched at 2:32 a.m. to a report of an SUV that had crashed into the front porch of a home on the same street.
