Lorenzo Gaines, a 30-year-old father from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost his life on July 13, 2021, in a shooting outside Chalmers Banquet Hall on the city's east side. Gaines, who had been paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair since a 2009 shooting incident, was attending a social event at the banquet hall when the fatal incident occurred.
