In the summer of 2022, a dispute in Pontiac, Michigan, tragically cut short the life of Jaquann Dion 'Quann' 'JG' Garrett, a 29-year-old Black or African American man. The incident unfolded on the evening of June 10th, near Firelite Lane and Cherry Hill Drive, where an argument escalated to violence. During the confrontation, Garrett was shot in the head. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries three days later, on June 13, 2022.
