In the early morning hours of Friday, September 30, 2022, the life of 24-year-old Arianna Reed, a female from Jackson, was tragically cut short. Police responded to reports of a shooting in Lansing at approximately 1:40 a.m. and discovered Reed in a parking lot in the 900 block of Long Boulevard. She had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation quickly pointed to a suspect known to the victim.
