Asa Alvarez, a three-year-old boy from Mount Pleasant, Michigan, tragically died on November 13, 2022, as a result of a domestic violence incident that escalated into a murder-suicide. The incident occurred on the Isabella Indian Reservation, where Asa lived with his family. On that fateful day, Asa, his mother MorningStar Shines Pelcher, and his younger brother Alonzo "Fonz" Alvarez were shot by Jeremy Alvarez, who was reported to be the father of the children and MorningStar's partner.
