In the fall of 2022, a heart-wrenching event unfolded in a Mount Pleasant, Michigan, home, resulting in the tragic deaths of two young brothers. Two-year-old Alonzo Alvarez, also known as 'Fonz,' and his three-year-old brother, Asa Alvarez, passed away in mid-November from injuries sustained in a violent incident. Their mother, Morningstar Pelcher, was also critically injured but survived. The boys were members of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
