Mya Kelly, a 23-year-old mother from Grand Rapids, Michigan, tragically lost her life on December 26, 2022. On that fateful evening, Mya was at home with her two young children and their father, Omar Dinneh, when a knock at the door led to a horrifying turn of events. As Mya approached the door, shots were fired through it, striking her and causing fatal injuries. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m., and Mya's children, aged 3 and 1 at the time, were present during the shooting.
