In a quiet subdivision in Port Gibson, Mississippi, a domestic dispute escalated into a fatal encounter, ending the life of 46-year-old Claudine Savage. On a Monday evening, authorities were alerted to the unfolding tragedy by a neighbor who called 911 to report a shooting at the Lacashe subdivision home that Savage shared with her boyfriend.
Upon their arrival, the grim reality of the situation became apparent. Emergency responders found Claudine Savage suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite any efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:40 p.m. The cause of her death was determined to be a result of the shooting, and an autopsy was subsequently ordered to be performed.
The investigation into the death quickly focused on her live-in boyfriend, 54-year-old Ricky Davis. According to the Claiborne County Sheriff, a dispute between the couple preceded the fatal shooting. The day after the incident, Ricky Davis was taken into custody by law enforcement.
Following his arrest, Davis was charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Claudine Savage. He was scheduled to have his initial court appearance before a Justice Court Judge two days after his arrest.
