On April 16, 2014, in the small town of Nettleton, Mississippi, a violent altercation tragically cut short the life of 44-year-old Joseph Valie Bass. The day took a dark turn as Joseph, a male, was leaving the United Furniture plant where he worked, riding in a vehicle with his brother, Otis Eugene Bass, and two other men. An argument erupted within the confines of the car, setting off a chain of events that would leave three men dead.
