On December 3, 2021, 45-year-old Nakeyce Bradford, a Black man, was shot and killed in the small town of Nettleton, Mississippi, during an early-morning burst of gunfire at a park in the northern part of the community. A second victim, 19-year-old Keandra Johnson, died in the same incident, and the two men quickly came to be linked together in the brief headlines and database entries that are almost all that remain of the public record of that morning.
