In the late summer of 2014, a family dispute in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving a nephew dead and his uncle facing a murder charge. On the morning of Saturday, August 23, 2014, 33-year-old Marcus James Hill was at a residence on Myers Road when an argument with his uncle, Robert Hill Jr., turned violent. The disagreement, reportedly over money, ended when Robert Hill Jr. allegedly shot his nephew once in the chest.
