Death by Force

James Hartfield, aged 52, died on September 20, 2014, in Beaumont, Mississippi. His death was the result of a confrontation that escalated into violence. Hartfield had confronted Byron Armstrong about a drug sale that had occurred the previous day. Hartfield believed that Armstrong had not given him all of the pills for which he had paid. This confrontation took place at the house of Jerome McLeod, Armstrong's grandfather, where Armstrong was living at the time.
