He was a graduate of St. Andrew's Episcopal School and the University of Alabama, where he studied English Literature and Creative Writing.
Throughout his professional life, Conway was dedicated to non-profit work, holding positions at organizations such as Youth Villages of Mississippi, the
National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, and the Boys and Girls Club. He was known for his love of animals and was remembered for rescuing and caring for a number of dogs. His passing was a shock to those who knew him, as evidenced by the outpouring of testimonials on his social media, where many shared stories of how he had positively impacted their lives. Conway had openly struggled with addiction for many years but was also active in 12-step programs and had inspired many with his journey.
