Jacob Samuel Allan, a 13-year-old White male, passed away on December 19, 2015. At the time of his death, Jacob was a seventh-grade student at Magee Middle School and was known for his passion for the outdoors, especially hunting.
On that fateful day, Jacob had been out hunting with his brother.
Upon their return to their grandmother's house, a devastating accident occurred. As Jacob was ascending the stairs, he tripped and fell. This fall caused the rifle he was carrying to accidentally discharge. The single shot struck him in the face, resulting in a fatal injury. The local authorities investigated the incident and swiftly determined that the shooting was a tragic accident.
Following the investigation, officials confirmed that there was no evidence of foul play in Jacob Samuel Allan's death. As a result, no arrests were made, and there were no suspects named in connection with the incident. The case was closed, with the official cause of death being ruled as an accidental shooting. The community mourned the loss of the young boy, with funeral services held at Corinth Baptist Church in Magee, where he was also laid to rest.
