In a tragic turn of events on August 18, 2016, a 27-year-old male, Joshua Lee McDonald, was fatally shot in his car in Mount Olive, Mississippi. The incident took place near Jamesville Road where McDonald and a companion, Edmond 'Loc' Clark, were engaged in working on McDonald's vehicle. It was during this time that they were approached by an individual who then shot McDonald.
