Rafael Thompson, a 27-year-old resident of Jackson, Mississippi, was found dead on February 14, 2017. His body was discovered inside his SUV near the intersection of University Boulevard and Natchez Avenue in Jackson. Thompson had been shot multiple times, and his death was ruled a homicide. The Jackson Police Department identified Thompson as the city's 12th homicide victim of the year.
