In the quiet community of Wesson, Mississippi, a tragedy unfolded on the morning of March 18, 2017, shattering the peace of a home on Furr's Mill Road. Emergency services received a call for an ambulance and, upon arrival, Lincoln County deputies discovered a grim scene. Inside the residence, 83-year-old Eugene Chester Hanks was found deceased in his bedroom, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
