In the spring of 2018, the life of 26-year-old April Spells was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On the evening of April 17th, Spells was involved in an altercation that escalated to gunfire, leaving her with a life-threatening wound to the head. The shooting occurred at a Fuel Time gas station, a place that would become the scene of a senseless act of violence.
