Shakerria King, a 17-year-old from Natchez, Mississippi, tragically lost her life on July 22, 2018, in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the Holiday Apartment complex in Natchez. Shakerria, who was in the early stages of pregnancy, was shot and killed along with her unborn child. The shooting is believed to have been a retaliation act, although it remains unclear whether Shakerria was the intended target or an unfortunate victim caught in the crossfire.
