In the late afternoon hours of September 15, 2018, a wave of violence swept through the city of Natchez, Mississippi, leaving one young man dead and two others wounded in a series of related shootings. Damien Green, a 23-year-old male, was at the Maryland Heights apartments when he was struck by a fatal gunshot to his lower chest. He was the only fatality in the string of shootings that day, with the other two victims being treated at local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.
