David Buckner, aged 47, was killed on August 7, 2010, in Ada Park on Chicago’s Far South Side. The incident occurred when two rival gangs began exchanging gunfire in the park around 7:30 p.m. Buckner, who was not involved in the conflict, was caught in the crossfire and tragically shot in the back, dying at the scene.
