In March of 2019, a tragic incident in Gulfport, Mississippi, led to the death of 16-year-old Imani Rogers, a student at West Harrison High School. The young female was in a bedroom on Crestview Drive with several other people, including a toddler, when a handgun was recklessly discharged, striking her in the back of the head. Following the shooting, Rogers was placed on life support and, being an organ donor, she passed away a few days later on March 11, 2019.
