In the spring of 2019, the life of 34-year-old Bobby Lydell Ward was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On the evening of May 16th, Ward was inside a residence on Millsaps Avenue when he was shot multiple times. The shooting occurred following a struggle with an individual who was attempting to enter the home.

Emergency services were called to the scene, but Ward succumbed to his injuries. The violent nature of his death sent ripples of grief and shock through his community. Fr ...
