Edward C. Carpenter, aged 32, tragically passed away on May 29, 2019, in Meridian, Mississippi. His death was one of the 17 homicides reported in Meridian and Lauderdale County in 2019, a year that saw a significant increase in violent crimes compared to previous years. Carpenter was found in the front seat of a car alongside another victim, Talimon Edwards, 27, of Marion. Both individuals were shot from behind, indicating a targeted attack.
