On December 24, 2019, 17-year-old Aquavious Hines was fatally shot in Indianola, Mississippi. The incident occurred in the early morning hours near Roosevelt Street and Pershing Avenue. A friend transported Hines to South Sunflower County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds.
