In the late summer morning of August 21, 2020, the town of Fayette, Mississippi, was shattered by a violent act that claimed the life of 36-year-old Eddie White, a Black male resident. The fatal encounter unfolded around 9 a.m. at a gas station situated at the intersection of Main and Rodney Streets. An ongoing feud between White and another local man, 25-year-old Michael Truenell, is reported to have reached its tragic climax at this public place.
