On January 18, 2024, Robert Campbell Jr., a 19-year-old resident of Natchez, Mississippi, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in Fayette, Mississippi. The incident occurred on Highway 61, where Campbell managed to call 911 and report that he had been shot before succumbing to his injuries.
