In the early hours of a Saturday morning in mid-May 2021, the quiet of the Broome community in George County, Mississippi, was shattered by a report of a man with a gun. When George County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the residence on Turner Whittington Road, they discovered the body of 31-year-old Kristopher Kyle Kittell of Lucedale. He had been fatally shot.
