Francisco Favela, a 45-year-old resident of Chicago, Illinois, was kidnapped and later murdered on December 11, 2010. He was abducted in an attempt to extort a $500,000 ransom. Darnell Stokes, along with two accomplices—Keith Watts and Jeremy Borders—was charged with aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder.
