Joseph Lee Thames, aged 46, tragically lost his life on December 16, 2021, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Thames, along with Nakieta Lashawn McCarty, was found dead near the intersection of Sixth Street and Rawls Avenue around 5:00 a.m. Both victims had sustained gunshot wounds. The incident was a result of an altercation involving Frederick Allen, who was 19 years old at the time.
