On a Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2022, in Jackson, Mississippi, 14-year-old Johnquis Jashaun Kelly, a Black male, was with two friends, 18-year-old Antonio Gross and 17-year-old Montavis Primer. The three teenagers had gone to Sedgwick Court to pick up some shoes. It was around 2 p.m. when their plans were violently interrupted.
