On May 2, 2022, the body of 18-year-old Isaiah Roderick Evans was discovered by a work crew on the side of Jackson-Raymond Road, near McFarland Road in Raymond, Mississippi. Evans, a male from Ridgeland, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Hinds County Sheriff's Office promptly began investigating the death as a homicide.
