In the spring of 2022, a fatal encounter unfolded outside a Jackson, Mississippi apartment complex, ending the life of 49-year-old Jimmie Lee Pierce Jr. On the evening of May 16th, Pierce was sitting outside his home in the Northwest Plaza Apartments on North West Street when he was approached by three individuals with the intent to rob him.
