In the small community of Liberty, Mississippi, a family argument escalated to a tragic conclusion, leaving a young man dead and his father facing a murder charge. On May 27, 2022, Junius Henry IV, a 22-year-old male, was shot and killed. The incident occurred in the 200 block of South Greensburg Road.
Responding to a call about a shooting, deputies from the Amite County Sheriff's Office discovered the fatal outcome of the dispute.
Their investigation led to the arrest of the victim's father, Junius Henry III. Authorities have stated that the shooting was the result of an argument between the father and son.
Following the investigation, Junius Henry III was charged with first-degree murder in the death of his son. The case is currently under further investigation by the Amite County Sheriff's Office. Funeral services for Junius Henry IV were held on June 5, 2022, at the Amite River Baptist Association.
