In the late hours of a Thursday evening in Meridian, Mississippi, the life of 23-year-old Garrian DeMonte Owens was tragically cut short. On June 16, 2022, Owens, a male, was shot in the 2300 block of Highway 29 North shortly after 10 p.m. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
