In the autumn of 2022, a sense of unease settled over a Gautier, Mississippi neighborhood. On the afternoon of October 6th, the life of 30-year-old Quintavious Quintalle Griffin, a male resident of the city, was brought to an abrupt and violent end. He was discovered inside a residence on Whitewood Drive, having sustained a single gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden loss.

The Gautier Police Department quickly launched an investigation into the shooting. Their inquiries soon pointed to two brothers as the individuals allegedly responsible for Quintavious Griffin's death. Within days, authorities had made their first move. On October 10th, police arrested 26-year-old Darrion Linelle Stallworth, a resident of nearby St. Martin, and charged him with murder in connection with the fatal shooting. The investigation, however, was not yet closed.

While one suspect was in custody, the search for the second brother, 20-year-old Nazarrion Delontea Stallworth, was just beginning. The Gautier Police Department publicly identified Nazarrion as a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest on a matching charge of murder. Law enforcement officials sought the public's help in locating him, signaling that another chapter in the tragic story of Quintavious Griffin's death was yet to unfold. The assistance of the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and the D'Iberville Police Department was enlisted in the ongoing investigation.
