In the spring of 1985, a dedicated law enforcement officer, William Ross Stewart, found his life tragically cut short during a narcotics operation in Woodward, Oklahoma. A male agent for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control, Stewart was working alongside members of the Woodward Police Department on the evening of May 8th. The operation targeted a suspect involved in drug trafficking in the area and led them to the parking lot of a local restaurant.
