In the pre-dawn hours of New Year's Day 2014, the life of 33-year-old Shane Bridges came to a violent end at his home near Chelsea, Oklahoma. The events of that morning would become the subject of conflicting narratives and a lengthy legal battle. A Mayes County Sheriff's deputy was dispatched to the Bridges' residence following a 911 call concerning a potentially suicidal man with a firearm.
