Kenneth Keeling Jr. was a 41-year-old white male living with his wife Jeannie and their three children in the Summerfield Village Apartments in Norman, Oklahoma, where they had moved about seven months earlier while he worked as a truck driver to support the family. He had grown up in Cushing, Oklahoma, and by the winter of 2015 his life revolved around long hours on the road and quiet evenings at home with the people he loved.
