In the quiet rural landscape of Stillwater, Oklahoma, the life of James Fields, a 30-year-old man, was abruptly ended on a late winter's day. On February 21, 2016, Fields was found deceased, the victim of a fatal shooting. The discovery, which occurred around 1:30 p.m. in a camper trailer situated in a remote area off of Highway 177 and 56th Street, set in motion a swift and intensive investigation by the Payne County Sheriff's Office.
