In the spring of 2017, the life of 26-year-old Danny Potts was tragically cut short in Wagoner, Oklahoma. On April 21, 2017, Potts was shot in the head and killed, an event that would unravel a grim narrative of violence and deceit. The initial incident, reportedly an argument at a house in Wagoner, escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving a community in shock and a family to grieve an unforeseen loss.
Following the shooting, the perpetrator attempted to conceal the crime by transporting
Potts's body approximately 80 miles away to a remote area in Osage County, near Lake Keystone. The discovery of his remains in this location launched a multi-agency investigation that would soon lead to a significant breakthrough. Law enforcement, including the Wagoner Police Department, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Tulsa Police, and U.S. Marshals, collaborated in the search for answers and justice for Potts.
The investigation swiftly pointed to Joshua Blaylock as the primary suspect. Acting on a tip, authorities located and apprehended Blaylock in Turley, Oklahoma. In a pivotal turn of events, Blaylock confessed to the murder and provided investigators with the location of Potts's body.
