Amanda Marie Knowlton, a 37-year-old white female, was found deceased on July 27, 2017, in a midtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, home in what police determined to be a murder-suicide.
Officers were called to the residence to check on the welfare of the occupants. Upon making entry, they discovered the bodies of Knowlton and a male individual. Both had sustained gunshot wounds.
Investigators believe the man shot and killed Knowlton before turning the weapon on himself.
There is no information to suggest that any arrests were made, as the sole suspect in Knowlton's death was also deceased at the scene. The investigation concluded that the incident was a murder-suicide, and therefore, no outstanding suspects were sought.
Knowlton, who worked as a receptionist, was remembered by friends and family for her great heart and happy disposition. She was a mother to two children. Her obituary did not mention the circumstances of her death.
