On November 26, 2023, in Medical Lake, Washington, 11-year-old Lilea "Lilly" Stolworthy was found critically injured near her family's home on North Prentis Street. She was transported to a hospital, where she succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities believe her 31-year-old brother, Jordan Brownlow, shot her before turning the gun on himself. Brownlow was discovered unconscious in his vehicle with a pistol in hand and was later declared dead after being on life support.
