In the early morning hours of August 25, 2011, a violent altercation outside the Canterbury apartment complex in Phoenix, Arizona, claimed the life of 35-year-old Carmela Jackson and two others. The shooting, which also left two other individuals wounded and hospitalized, unfolded around 3:30 a.m. near 23rd and Campbell avenues.
