In the autumn of 2019, the life of a young boy from Lawton, Oklahoma, was tragically cut short in a devastating act of violence that also claimed the lives of his mother and sister. Five-year-old Christopher James Robert Kristo, a male, was killed on October 5, 2019, in what law enforcement officials determined to be a triple murder-suicide. The quiet community was shaken by the deaths of Christopher, his six-year-old sister Emma Cliburn, and their 34-year-old mother, Krystle Easley.
